Request filing authority for a single filing

This function allows an organization or user who has authority over the issuer’s profile and the applicable filing role (e.g. securities offerings) to request access to a single filing created by another organization or user.

Once a request for authority is submitted, a new task appears in the user’s dashboard (who is the ‘filer’ for that issuer) or in the CSA Service Desk’s dashboard in the circumstance where only filing agents file on behalf of that issuer; no ‘filer’ relationship exists.

Bill Symthe requires access to the ‘NI 44-101 Notice of Intent’ filing that was filed by Sue Filer. From 123 INC’s profile, Bill selects ‘Filings’ to see all filings for this issuer (if filing(s) are not submitted by Bill’s organization, there must be at least one public document on the filing to see the filing in the list). Bill selects the filing, then selects ‘Actions’, ‘Request filing authority for the filing’ then ‘Submit’. Upon approval of the request, Bill can maintain the filing as required.
