SEDAR+ quarterly update details
The latest quarterly update to SEDAR+ was completed on August 4, 2025. It includes fixes for reported user experience issues and updates as noted below.
Functionality issues that have been fixed
- Drafts: Column sort selection only applied to first page of your Drafts list, rather than all pages.
- Drafts: ‘Search by profile name or number’ returns no results or duplicated profile names.
- Profiles: Intermittent issue of being unable to open some profiles and receiving ‘unexpected system error’ message.
- Fee summary page: Receiving ‘This page isn’t working right now’ error message after selecting ‘Exit’, ‘Return to filing’.
Filing updates
Added new filing type ‘Other filings’ for exempt market offerings categoryv
The ‘Other filings’ filing type was added to the exempt market offerings filing category to be consistent with the other filing categories on SEDAR+.
- This filing type should only be used if there is not an applicable filing type for your filing. Refer to the Filing Inventory for a complete list of filing types.
- All documents submitted under the ‘Other filings’ filing type will be ‘private’ and not publicly viewable. You will need to contact the issuer’s principal regulator to review the document(s) and to change filing access to ‘public’, if applicable.
Added stock exchange ‘Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE) – Senior Tier’
- This exchange can now be added to Company or Investment fund profiles as applicable.
- The ‘listed on an exchange or marketplace’ field on the advanced search options of Search Profile has been updated to include this exchange.
Updated Payments Canada list
- The list of financial institutions available to select on your Pre Authorized Debit (PAD) account has been updated to reflect the list on Payments Canada, as of January 2025.
Updated posting formal documents to a specific submission
- The ‘post formal documents’ function has been updated to allow for the selection of the specific submission number on the filing to relate the formal documents.
- For example, if both submission 00000004 and submission 00000007 pertain to ‘Pro forma’ subtype on your filing, you can search for and select the specific submission (e.g. 00000004) to attach the related formal document(s).
Improved instructions for application filings with an associated investment fund group
- If you associate an investment fund group on the filing, the ‘add details’ link now reads ‘Add funds from selected group’ to provide better onscreen clarity as to how to add the underlying applicable fund(s).
- This will ensure that the filing and a record of action are added to each investment fund profile.
Updated British Columbia Securities Commission fees
- The ‘Shelf prospectus’ and ‘Short form prospectus’ filing types’ supplement amendment fee is $250.00.
- The ‘Alternate Reporting Requirements of Eligible Pooled Funds’ filing type is available to reporting and non-reporting issuers.
- The document type ‘Report of exempt distribution in respect of eligible pooled funds’ document fee is calculated as follows:
- 0.01% of “the total dollar value of fees payable by the eligible pooled fund(s), of the amount disclosed in section 5 of Form 45-505F2.”
