Does SEDAR+ support keyboard shortcuts or strokes that users can leverage to make work more efficient?
While SEDAR+ does not provide special keyboard shortcuts, it does respond to keyboard strokes that are recognized by your browser. These keyboard strokes include, but are not limited to:
- Pressing your Enter key instead of clicking the Search button
- Pressing the Tab key to cycle through Inputs
- Pressing Shift+Tab keys to reverse-cycle through Inputs
- If you have pressed the Tab key to highlight a date picker, press the Spacebar to open the date selector, allowing you to key-in date information.
- If you have pressed the Tab key to highlight a toggle button, to indicate “Yes” or “No”, for example, press the left and right arrow keys to change your selection.
- If you have pressed the Tab key to highlight a Droplist selector, press the Spacebar to display the options. Use the Up and Down arrow keys to highlight a selection, and press the Enter key to make a selection.
- If you have pressed the Tab key to highlight a checkbox, press the Spacebar to toggle its selection.
- If you have pressed the Tab key to highlight a ‘Browse file system’ button, press Enter to open your operating system’s dialogue.
- If you have pressed the Tab key to highlight a ‘Save and Continue, ’Save,’ or ‘Exit’ button or link, press the Enter key to select it.
- Press the Esc key to collapse a Droplist or date selector
- On certain pages, pressing the Tab key reveals a link to go to the main content of the page. Press the Enter key to go to the main content section
Which name displays in uppercase in SEDAR+?
An individual’s last name is written in uppercase; for example, John SMITH.
When does SEDAR+ save data that has been entered into the system without formally submitting it?
Your data is saved when you click ‘Apply,’ ‘Save,’ ‘Save and continue’ or ‘Next.’ If you attempt to navigate away from a page with data you have just entered and not saved, a dialogue box appears asking you to confirm if you wish to discard it.
What is the difference between ‘Save and continue’ and ‘Save’ on SEDAR+?
Your data is saved when you click ‘Apply,’ ‘Save,’ ‘Save and continue’ or ‘Next.’ If you attempt to navigate away from a page with data you have just entered and not saved, a dialogue box appears asking you to confirm if you wish to discard it.
Why was I logged out?
Once logged in, after 25 minutes of no activity on the system (e.g. not selecting ‘Save’, ‘Save and continue’, ‘Submit’), you will receive a warning message advising you to acknowledge the message within 4 minutes or you will be logged out.
Why am I locked out?
If you attempted to log in with an incorrect password five times in a row, or if you failed to log out properly during your previous session.

Is SEDAR+ available 24/7?
Yes. However, for purposes of a review period by a securities regulatory authority, please refer to How is time computed for review periods relating to filings made in SEDAR+?
What do I do if SEDAR+ is unavailable?
SEDAR+ website is generally available 24/7. In the event of system maintenance, a notice will be posted on the site in advance of the outage for users’ reference. If an unforeseen outage occurs, users may contact the CSA Service Desk for more information.
Can I turn off email notifications?
No. Email notifications are sent to the main contact and the other contact (if any) on a filing. You may be able to create a rule within your email application to automatically move SEDAR+ emails to a designated folder depending upon the email application used.
Document Format
What are the acceptable document extensions?
The primary document extension allowable is .pdf. However, in very specific circumstances .doc, .docx and .xlsx are permitted. Video files cannot be submitted on SEDAR+.
Can I attach a file that is password protected?
No. SEDAR+ will not accept files that are password protected.
Is it acceptable to file a scanned document?
It is not recommended to file a scanned document because the contents will not be searchable.
Are there any special restrictions to the characters that can be included in a file name that is uploaded to SEDAR+?
The following characters are recognized as valid special characters that can be used in the filename for document upload:
- . (Period)
- , (Comma)
- # (number sign)
- @ (at sign)
- ! (exclamation)
- – (hyphen)
- _ (underscore)
- ‘ ‘ (space)
- All French characters: ç, é, â, ê, î, ô, û, à, è, ì, ò, ù, ë, ï ü.

What precautions does SEDAR+ take against computer viruses?
SEDAR+ scans all uploaded documents for viruses.
Assistance
As a SEDAR+ filer, if I experience issues with SEDAR+ such as not being able to log in, not being able to find a profile or filing, or other general system problems, who should I contact?
