Searching SEDAR+

General

Why does the exported csv file contain non alphabetical characters?

If you selected French as your language option to view SEDAR+, you may find non alphabetical characters in the csv file generated from your search results or payment file. To remove these characters, save the csv file then open the file in MS Excel. From the MS Excel ribbon bar, select the ‘Data’ tab. Select ‘From Text/CSV’, select the file name, then select ‘Import’. A new file window will open. Select ‘Load’ to view the file with the correct characters

How do I search for a name that contains a comma?

If the profile’s name contains a comma (e.g ‘22NW Fund, LP’) you must remove the comma in order for the profile to be displayed in the search results.

Fees

How do I search for a basket (fee summary and payment information)?

Only users with the assigned permissions can perform this search.  You cannot directly search for a basket. You must search first for a basket transaction. Click the ‘Menu’ button, ‘Payments’ and then ‘Search transactions’. Select the option to include ‘basket transactions’ in your search. Click on the transaction reference and then click on the basket reference link.

Profiles

Why are there two profiles with the same name?

If your search results display a company and a third party filer profile for the same party, the company profile is the official profile of the party.

The third party filer profile was created in SEDAR for the purposes of filing a third party filing against another party

How do I search for migrated stand-alone investment fund (that had an ‘Other Issuer’ profile in SEDAR) and its filings in SEDAR+?

You can search for migrated stand-alone investment fund and its filings in the same way as the other migrated investment funds, such as funds that are part of a group, or new investment funds that are created directly in SEDAR+.  All funds will now be under the same Investment Fund filer category in SEDAR+.
