General help for reporting issuers list

The CSA maintains a list in SEDAR+ of reporting issuers that identifies:

  • reporting issuers in a CSA jurisdiction that the securities regulatory authorities have determined to publish on SEDAR+ (some reporting issuers may not appear due to extended inactivity);
  • reporting issuers that have been noted in default of certain requirements of securities laws in a CSA jurisdiction; and
  • reporting issuers whose securities are the subject of an active cease trade order (CTO).

For the list of reporting issuers, visit Reporting issuers list.

If a reporting issuer has been noted in default of a continuous disclosure requirement in any CSA jurisdiction, a ‘Yes’ will appear in the default column.

Clicking on the ‘Yes’ link leads you to the default tab on the reporting issuer’s profile. The default tab will indicate in which jurisdiction(s) the issuer has been noted in default, as well as the default code.

For more details on the default codes, refer to CSA Notice 51-322 Reporting Issuer Defaults, which is available at the following link to the CSA website.

If a reporting issuer is subject to an active CTO in any CSA jurisdiction, there will be a ‘Yes’ link with the ban trading OF and/or ban trading BY sanction in brackets in the active cease trade order column.  Clicking on the ‘Yes’ link leads you to the ‘Cease trade orders’ tab on the reporting issuer’s profile where you can access information about any CTO issued against the issuer. For more information, read What does ban trading BY and ban trading OF mean? on the Regulatory Actions page.

Each securities regulatory authority maintains the reporting issuer, default and CTO statuses for the reporting issuers in their jurisdiction. Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of this list. A reporting issuer that does not appear on this list or that has an incorrect default or CTO status should contact the respective securities regulatory authority promptly.
